We have documented 1,944 Palestinian children killed by Israeli forces and settlers since 2000, and 21 cases of Palestinian children used as human shields by Israeli forces since 2004.
We represent an average of 150 cases in Israeli military courts and 90 in Palestinian courts per year.
We have successfully influenced Palestinian legislation as the only civil society organization in the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
In response to our advocacy campaigns, Israel introduced a requirement for Palestinian parents to be notified of their child’s arrest, and we work to ensure these protections are implemented.
We have established a strong record for capacity building among individuals and organizations working with children, especially in law enforcement and community-based organizations.
We are a founding member of the Palestine Network for Children’s Rights (PNRC), a coalition of 60 community-based organizations, all committed to working together to implement positive change for Palestinian children.
UN agencies and human rights mechanisms frequently rely on our reports to highlight human rights violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, calling on Israel to amend policies.
We are assisting DCI’s International Secretariat with the launch of new national sections in Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia, and Yemen.
