Ramallah, February 3, 2025—An Israeli drone strike killed a 14-year-old Palestinian boy in the northern occupied West Bank on Saturday.

Ahmad Abdelhakim Shaker Saadi, 14 was killed by an Israeli drone-fired missile that targeted the courtyard of the his family’s home, located near the Council of the Saadi family in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, around 5:30 p.m. on February 1, according to documentation collected by Defense for Children International - Palestine. There was no presence of Israeli forces in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin at the time and the attack occurred suddenly and without warning. The strike injured two Palestinians, in addition to killing Ahmad.

“Israeli forces are carrying out an ethnic cleansing campaign in the northern occupied West Bank, killing Palestinians and forcing them out of their homes,” said Ayed Abu Eqtaish, accountability program director at DCIP. “Israeli forces are emboldened by the impunity permitted by world leaders who took no action to stop the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and who are complicit in the campaign to forcibly displace Palestinians in the West Bank.”

Eyewitnesses reported that Nour, a relative of Ahmad who is reportedly wanted by Israeli forces, was about to visit Ahmad's family home. Shortly after, an Israeli drone launched a missile in front of the house, killing Ahmad, who was sitting outside. Ahmad was decapitated and sustained deep shrapnel wounds in the upper parts of his body, according to information collected by DCIP.

Ahmad was initially transferred by ambulance to Al-Razi Hospital in Jenin, and then he was transferred to the morgue in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin.

Following the drone strike, several Israeli military vehicles moved toward the eastern neighborhood of Jenin. They arrived at the targeted site and imposed a security cordon around the area.

According to local residents, Nour, who survived the first strike, was near Ahmad's home around 9 p.m. when he was targeted by another Israeli drone-fired missile, which killed him along with a Palestinian nurse who was working in the area.

Since January 21, the Israeli military has carried out massive attacks, forcible displacements, and destruction of civilian infrastructure dubbed “Operation Iron Wall” in the northern occupied West Bank with a focus on Jenin and Tulkarem, and their refugee camps.

Israeli forces have killed 11 Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank in 2025, according to documentation collected by DCIP. Seven children were killed by Israeli drone strikes and four children were shot and killed with live ammunition.
