Ramallah, March 30, 2026—Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian boy in the southern occupied West Bank on Friday.

Adam Sayed Saleh Beit Dahman, 15, was shot in the pelvis by Israeli forces around 9 p.m. on Friday, March 27 at the entrance to Dheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, according to documentation collected by Defense for Children International - Palestine. Four Israeli military vehicles arrived at the camp’s entrance thirty minutes prior to the shooting, and young Palestinian men and boys threw stones toward the heavily armored vehicles in response.

Around 9 p.m., soldiers disembarked and opened fire from about 200 meters (656 feet) away, striking Adam in the pelvis. After shooting Adam, Israeli forces surrounded him while beating him and shouting at him. Israeli soldiers prevented Palestinian Red Crescent Society paramedics from reaching Adam for about 30 minutes.

Israeli forces eventually allowed one paramedic to reach Adam. An ambulance brought him to Beit Jala Governmental Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m.

Israeli forces have killed eight Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank in 2026, according to documentation collected by DCIP. Israeli forces and settlers killed 56 Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank in 2025.
