Program Development Officer

Defense for Children International - Palestine is seeking a highly detailed, obsessively organized, and meticulous program development officer who can comfortably produce reports that strictly adhere to the submission requirements of various donors.

This full-time position, based in the West Bank city of Ramallah, offers a competitive local salary commensurate with experience. The position reports directly to the program development coordinator.

Responsibilities

–Planning, monitoring, and evaluating DCIP programs and projects.

–Conceptualizing, developing, and executing plans for new projects.

–Coordinate with DCIP program teams to develop and implement clear internal reporting mechanisms.

–Support DCIP programs in planning process and monitoring sessions.

–Develop and maintain monitoring and evaluation system.

–Assist in building capacity of DCIP staff in planning, monitoring, and evaluation.

–Producing reports that strictly adhere to the submission requirements of various donors.

–Developing proactive fundraising strategies with institutional and individual donors.

–Growing and managing donor relationships.

Qualifications

–Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree a plus.

–At least three years of professional development experience, including fundraising, conceptualizing and implementing projects, drafting proposals, managing programs and budgets, and monitoring and evaluation.

–Strong familiarity with logical frameworks and results-based approach.

–Superior English-language writing skills.

–Perfectionism with spelling, grammar, punctuation, and usage.

–Above-average knowledge of the Middle East, with a focus on children’s issues.

–Arabic-language skills a plus.

–An initiative-taking, proactive, creative thinker with the ability to manage and prioritize workload, deliver on tight deadlines, and solve problems quickly.

–Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
