25 Years: Osama's Story

When we opened our doors 25 years ago, we were a small group of volunteers, working out of a single room in the Beit Sahour YMCA. Today, we are a leading Palestinian human rights organization, protecting and defending children and pioneering innovative strategies to effect real and long lasting change.

Palestinian children like Osama pay the highest price for Israel's brutal military occupation. Theirs is a world characterized by daily violence and instability. At Defense for Children International - Palestine, we refuse to accept this future for our children.

If we have learned one thing over the last 25 years it is this: the nature of human rights work is long, and too often it is heartbreaking. But every aspect of our programming is vital to each child we serve and they cannot afford for us to feel hopeless.

For the last 25 years, we have been there for Palestinian children in their greatest moment of need. Over the next 25 years, we are building them a safe and just future. Join us.
